Our Accountancy apprenticeship programmes are delivered through a mixture of training (both on and off the job) and day release at our Gateshead, Team Valley training centre or online (remote) throughout the duration, dependant on the programme. Regardless of the delivery style we are always be committed to quality and strive for the best making a real difference to both the learner and employer.
The apprentice is learning real workplace skills alongside their training with Access which helps them develop within their roles at a quicker rate. A cost effective way to train employees via the apprenticeship levy or co-investment.
We can upskill existing employees by enrolling them onto an accountancy apprenticeship or if your are looking to grow your business, we can recruit an apprentice on your behalf.

Accounts/Finance Assistant (AAT Level 2)
The programme is aimed at those starting a career in accountancy at entry level. Apprentices will learn the basics of accounting. Knowledge includes; basic bookkeeping activities, using accounting software, costing and working effectively in finance.
Duration of the programme: Approximately 13 months

To support our employers needs we offer flexible enrolment and have the following upcoming course dates:
Accounts / Finance Assistant level 2 – October 2026
There will be regular AAT exams at the end of each unit. Towards the end of the apprenticeship, the employer and our Trainer will agree when the apprentice is ready for the end point assessment (EPA). An independent assessment organisation (AAT) will carry out the EPA to assess whether the apprentice has met all of the requirements of the standard. The assessment has two components which need to be passed – a synoptic end test covering all the units covered throughout the apprenticeship, and a portfolio and reflective discussion which will comprise of a range of evidence produced in the workplace.
Grade 4/C or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths.
Assistant Accountant (AAT Level 3)
The programme covers a wide range of transferable skills such as analysis, communication, producing quality & accurate information, using business systems & processes and problem solving. Knowledge includes: business awareness, IT systems & processes, ethical standards, financial reporting & accounting and management accounting.
Duration of the programme: Approximately 18 months

Professional Accounting Technician (AAT Level 4)

Knowledge includes: accounting, business awareness, ethical standards, regulation & compliance and systems & processes.
Duration of the programme: Approximately 24 months
